Head Trainer at SL Equestrian is Anne-Sophie Levesque

With success and experience in a variety of rings and locations, Sophie has been able to start off her program with a very rounded and fair approach. Having worked and trained under some phenomenal names such as Kyle King, Jessica Ransehousen and Frank Selinger, she was able to not only travel the continent but learn from some of the best behind the scenes.

Though her knack and enjoyment of the sales side of the equine business has brought her many opportunities and friends, she still strives for the top levels of the jumper ring.
Recently showing through the local GP’s in WA and Oregon and finding much success across the coast on different horses, she hopes to continue to progress with the competitive side of her career. Luckily, with a consistent partner in Fast Track Farms, she has been able to take on a wonderful group of clients, sales horses and projects, creating a positive and forward thinking atmosphere for horses and riders alike. Through this partnership, Sophie and Patrick (FTF) have been able to take on a number of “last resort horses” (horses people had given up hope with) and turn them into competitive, happy mounts with renewed willingness to please both at home, and in the ring.

From completing her first training level event at age 12 to bringing along her personal horse to the advanced level and competing to a team bronze at NAJYRC, she spent many years within the eventing community, keeping a humble yet brave base to her riding. But there will always be a very strong love and base in dressage at SL Equestrian and Fast Track Farms. Competing through to PSG on several horses she trained herself, Sophie truly believes in the importance of good fundamentals and proper connection and training. If given the chance, she may just find herself back in the dressage rings here and there!
